Cell protectors are a type of equipment used by beekeepers to safeguard queen cells that are installed while making nucs or splits. Sometimes, bees tend to damage queen cells, especially when the nuc or split has been recently created, and the colony is not yet ready for a new queen cell. The cell protector essentially shields the sides of the queen cell and leaves the tip exposed, allowing the queen to emerge while preventing the bees from damaging the cell. JZ’s BZ’s durable Cell Protector is designed to hang between two top bars and can be effortlessly installed in a colony without removing any frames. The pack contains 100 individual protectors.
